aid for unhoused folks

Whether folks are seeking asylum or are experiencing homelessness in another way, we believe it's important to acknowledge that struggle and be neighborly.

Our food equity efforts allow us to provide necessary aid to folks who are housing insecure - a bag of groceries, a kit of warm or cold weather essentials, connection to social services, a few snacks at a Community Box.

Now, with the arrival of many families seeking asylum from Venezuela, we are in overdrive to provide support to all.

Our weekly Community Circle provides a hot meal and free group therapy to asylum seekers. The meals are shared with the Love Fridges as well, to provide a stronger sense of solidarity among our neighbors.

Your support goes a very long way to building unity and stopping divisiveness in its tracks.

DON'T DROP OFF BAGS AT shelters or stations

Dropping off big bags directly creates tension between families and the space is too limited to hold that kind of volume.

The circulo de sanacion pilot program

In the fall of 2023, we piloted a 10-week mental health program geared toward helping newly arrived families process trauma associated with their journey. Download the info sheet to learn about this unique initiative.
